Most new parents are in a constant state of worrying about what their infant child might be up to. While sometimes that leads to overreactions from parents, one child recently showed exactly why parents act this way.
A father in Arizona recently spotted his daughter playing with a tarantula, and luckily his hilarious reaction was captured by their home’s security camera.
As seen in the clip that has since gone viral, a father walks up to his infant daughter to ask what she is playing with.
The father picks up the container the child is holding only to see a huge tarantula inside. “When she showed it to me, I was just like… that’s not a bug. That’s a tarantula. And it looks so much bigger next to a baby hand,” said David Lehman, the father in the video.
According to Fox News, neither Lehman’s 18-month-old daughter nor the tarantula was harmed during the incident.
Luckily, all the father had to deal with were some tears from his daughter, which were caused more by his reaction than the tarantula. Hopefully now the child knows to stay away from tarantulas.
