A new press conference has revealed several shocking allegations against the music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, including claims that he sexually assaulted 25 minors, one as young as 9 years old.
The press conference was held on Tuesday by Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee, who announced his representation of 120 individuals in civil lawsuits that host horrifying allegations against Combs for actions he is accused of taking over the last three decades.
Along with the extensive list of allegations, Buzbee said that he has “collected pictures, video [and] texts.” He went on to say “many powerful people” and “many dirty secrets” would be coming out in the days to come. Buzbee says the list of accusers goes back to 1991.
At the start of the press conference, Buzbee warned that the allegations being brought forth were “shocking.” The attorney said that the youngest victim he is representing was just 9 years old when Combs allegedly assaulted them.
“This individual, who was 9 years old at the time, was taken to an audition in New York City with Bad Boy Records, other boys were there to audition as well,” Buzbee told reporters.
Buzbee said the kids were attempting to start TV or music careers with the promise they would be made a “star.”
“This individual was sexually abused allegedly by Sean Combs and several other people at the studio with the promise to both his parents and himself of getting a record deal,” Buzbee said.
Combs was also accused of forcing another minor to “perform oral sex” on him in exchange for a record deal, according to Buzbee, who shared several similar stories that alleged assault from the rapper.
“Another instance, an individual 15 years old at the time, was flown to New York City to attend a party, where she was drugged and then taken to a private room allegedly in the presence of Mr.Combs,” Buzbee said. “This female individual was raped, and then other individuals took turns raping her.”
Buzbee said that the 120 accusers who have come forward are “evenly divided by males and females.”
“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors. We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates,” Buzbee said.
The lawyer said that there are dozens of allegations that involve “violent sexual assault or rape, facilitated sex with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recordings [and] sexual abuse of minors.”
When it comes to how Buzbee plans on pursuing legal action against Combs, he said in the next 30 days, he will be filing lawsuits in Texas, California, Georgia, Florida, and New York.
Combs’ legal team responded to the press conference and new allegations, maintaining their client’s innocence.
“As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus,” they said in a statement.
“That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
