Christmas may be over, but that doesn’t mean people have stopped discussing one of the most debated questions of the holiday season; is ‘Die Hard’ a Christmas movie?

This year, fans searching for the definitive answer got one courtesy of someone that knows a thing or two about the film’s star. Bruce Willis’ mother was recently asked the question that has been bothering fans for over 30 years, and she did not hold back with her response.

While the question of whether ‘Die Hard’ is one of the greatest action films of all-time has never been up for debate, fans wondering if the film is considered a Christmas movie has been argued since the movie’s release in 1988.

Now Marlene Willis, mother of the film’s star, has entered the debate; claiming ‘Die Hard’ is not a Christmas movie. She explained that while the movie is set during Christmas time, it is not an essential element of the film.

According to TMZ, this is the same opinion Bruce Willis has, as the actor has long claimed ‘Die Hard’ is not a Christmas movie as well. Of course, this won’t change the mind of anyone. However, if anyone knows, it’s definitely Bruce Willis’ mother.
