A woman says her dog accidentally started a kitchen fire while getting cookies off a counter near the stove.
"The scariest thing happened," Ashley O'Donnell explained in a Facebook post. "Our kitchen was on fire."
She says that her dog put her front paws onto the stove knob while trying to reach a plate of cookies. The smoke detector alerted O'Donnel and her husband.
"It was our fault for leaving the plate out... we know better than that. But never did we imagine a fire starting because of her hunger pains. Thankfully, Patrick got the fire put out quickly... whilst burning his hand."
