The San Diego field office for the FBI is continuing to ask for the public's assistance in locating a man for questioning in connection to the disappearance of a Tijuana woman whose remains were found in a vehicle.

Local authorities in Mexico detained 50-year-old Tyler Adams on Wednesday following an Amber Alert being issued for Racquel Sabean's missing 7-month-old daughter, the FBI shared in a statement.

Adams, Sabean, and the 7-month-old had entered Mexico on April 17, according to the Amber Alert issued for the child.

The FBI's statement said that the baby had been found safe and is in protective custody in Mexico, but Sabean's remains were believed to have been discovered in a vehicle she had been known to drive.

According to a report from News Week, what is believed to be Sabean's remains were found after residents from the Tijuana neighborhood complained about the foul odor coming from the car. When the authorities responded, they found the decomposing body in the back of the vehicle.

Sabean had worked as a spokesperson for the United States Navy from 1999 to 2002, the Navy confirmed to The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The FBI shared that while detained in Mexico, Adams was uncooperative with local law enforcement when he was asked about Sabean.

Since then, he has entered the U.S. via the San Ysidro Port of Entry at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the Bureau shared.

While entering the U.S., Adams allegedly went by a different name, "Aaron Bain," according to the FBI. Additionally, the Bureau shared he is known to use "multiple fake and stolen identities."

Aliases that he could be going by include Aaron Lee Bain, Aaron Lee, Aron Lee, Paul Wilson Phipps, Paul Wilson Phillps, David Smith, Dominic Braun, David Phillips, Kevin Schoolcraft, Kevin Kennedy, Michael Whittman, Lance Irwin, Brice Johnson, Matthew Kashani, Taylor Chase, Joshua Smith, the FBI shared.

A warrant is currently out for Adams's arrest in Hawaii after being issued in September 2020 for escape in the second degree.

He is described as white, 5 feet 9 inches tall, approximately 175 pounds, with brown hair. Anyone who sees him should not engage but instead call the FBI's San Diego field office at (800) CALL-FBI, San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477, or visit tips.fbi.gov.
