National Hamburger Day is this Sunday and Memorial Day burger grilling follows close behind, so burgers are on many minds in the U.S.
If you’re a burger fan, you might be wondering where the best – and worst – burgers in the nation are as you contemplate road trip plans this summer. Lawn Love, a lawn care company that has branched out to conduct research projects, has created just that list.
To create the list, Lawn Love measured the 200 largest cities in the U.S. based on vendors, consumer ratings, and national recognition among nine overall metrics. Chicagoans, New Yorkers, Angelenos and Bay Area residents don’t have to travel far to find burger paradise, as they all made the top five.
People in Paterson, N.J., aren’t as lucky.
Here’s the top five:
1. New York, N.Y.
2. San Francisco, Calif.
3. Chicago , Ill.
4. Los Angeles Calif.
5. Boston, Mass.
Here’s the bottom five:
1. Paterson, N.J.
2. Miramar, Fla.
3. Pomona, Calif.
4. Thornton, Colo.
5. Chula Vista, Calif.
All that’s left to find out is where to get a burger once you travel to one of the hubs. Thankfully, Mashed and the Food Network helped us match up some burger joint’s to Lawn Love’s top cities:
1. New York: Emily
2. San Francisco: Mission Bowling Club
3. Chicago: Au Cheval
4. Los Angeles: Hawkins House of Burgers
5. Boston: Boston Burger Company
