It’s raining nuggets! Well, almost. If you love Chicken McNuggets today (Wednesday) is your lucky day. Before the day is done, be sure to download the McDonald’s app on your phone to cash in on the deal.
If you already have the app, you can pull it up to see the promotion screen offering a free six-piece McNuggets treat – with a choice of dipping sauce – no purchase necessary. Customers can get the deal for pickup or delivery at participating restaurants in the U.S.
Those who download the app for the first time to get the deal will need to provide their email to make an account and join the McDonald’s reward program. If the promotion screen doesn’t automatically pop up, the deal can be found in the “Rewards & Deals” menu, according to USA Today.
While McDonald’s has been voted America’s favorite fast food chain, nugget fans shouldn’t feel totally in despair if they miss the deal today. USA Today also reported that Wendy’s recently announced plans to offer free chicken nuggets every week to celebrate the launch of its new 50-piece Nuggs Party Pack.
“Starting this Wednesday, the bucket of nuggets will become available in stores across the U.S., with the option of classic crispy or spicy flavors,” said the outlet. “To mark the occasion, Wendy’s will also begin offering free 6-piece nuggets with any purchase in the Wendy’s app every Wednesday.”
USA Today also added that Buffalo Wild Wings is also getting in on the chicken deal action with an all-you-can-eat deal on boneless wings and fries for $19.99 every Monday and Wednesday through July 10 at restaurants throughout the country.
For McDonald’s die-hards, there’s another new offering available this week from the fast food chain – the “Grandma McFlurry” featuring syrup and chopped candy pieces. This new sweet treat debuted Tuesday and will be available until supplies last at participating locations.
