National Coffee Day is just around the corner on Wednesday. It just happens to coincide with the early days of autumn, when many people are craving the season’s most famous coffee drink – pumpkin spice lattes.

This year, Halo Top has been offering its version of the fall favorite featuring a limited-edition pumpkin pie ice cream flavor during a series of special food truck pop-ups in 10 cities.

Up next are pop ups in Raleigh, N.C. First, there will be an 8 a.m. event Tuesday at 500 Fayetteville St., followed by a 1 p.m. event at 3800 Lake Boone Trail in the Lake Boone Shopping Center. Another Raleigh event is planned for 8 a.m. Wednesday at 2526 Hillsborough St.

Check the Halo Top Facebook page for others. Previous cities included Denver, Colo.; Minneapolis, Minn., and Los Angeles, Calif.

According to Halo Top, its pumpkin spice treats are healthier than the lattes one might typically find.

“You can get your pumpkin-inspired caffeine fix with a free Halo Top Pumpkin Pie Latte that is 1/3 of the calories of you-know-what beverage,” said the company. That’s around 142 calories compared to around 300 in the original pumpkin spice latte.

For those who can’t come out to one of the pop-up events, Halo Top has offered up its PSL recipe: Halo Top Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream, a favorite coffee, and nonfat milk.
