Angel Reese responded to the rumors that have been circulating about her ongoing saga at LSU, pushing back on reports that tried to explain her benching and absence from the court.
However, those looking for all the details as to what happened won’t find out now, as Reese left her response a bit mysterious.
“please don’t believe everything you read,” Reese wrote on X.
Reese jumped into the spotlight last year when she helped lead the Tigers to the NCAA tournament championship in April.
However, last Tuesday, when LSU played Kent State, Reese found herself left on the bench in the second half. On Friday, she didn’t play against Southeastern Louisiana at all.
According to LSU coach Kim Mulkey, Reese didn’t play the second half of LSU’s game on Tuesday because of a coaching decision.
But on Friday, when Reese was out of uniform and didn’t play, Mulkey was pressed by reporters looking to find out why.
“You want me to explain why? It’s very obvious Angel was not in uniform,” Mulkey said postgame Friday. “Angel is a part of this basketball team, and we hope to see her sooner than later.”
LSU is set to host Texas Southern on Monday, but it is unclear if Reese will be in the lineup.
