Police in California have arrested a man who is accused of stripping his clothes off and streaking through Disneyland’s “It’s a Small World” ride.
The suspect, identified by police as a 26-year-old male, took his clothes off at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and began offering an alternative view on the ride, according to the Anaheim Police Department. He was on drugs, based on the charges, but police did not reveal the kind of drugs they were.
“Upon officers’ arrival, they arrested a 26-year-old man for indecent exposure and for being under the influence of a controlled substance,” police said. “The man was taken to a hospital as a precaution.”
Pictures and videos of the alleged incident have been shared on social media, with some cracking jokes about what happened and others sharing their shock. Video showed him crawling around the singing robots on the iconic boat ride while operators begged him to stand still so he didn't get hurt.
“I AM ON SMALL WORLD AND THERE WAS A STREAKER, I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING,” one person posted with a photo on X that has reached more than 3.7 million people as of Tuesday morning.
Police have not offered any update on the streaker since Sunday.
But plenty of social media users gave updates, including video of the man hog-tied, fully naked and dragged out of the park by police. They tried to cover him with a blanket, to no avail.
Several people took photos of his clothes sitting in a pile on the floor inside the ride.
