Two things that make most kids happy: Halloween candy and McDonald’s Happy Meals. Put the two together and what do you have? Happy Meals in Boo Buckets that double as a candy container ... and very excited kids.
The buckets are returning after they were offered by McDonald’s last year, which marked the first time they were available since 2016, the company shared in a press release. The first ever Boo Bucket was sold in 1986, and the burger joint has used them on and off since then.
This year, kids — or adults, no judgment — will get one of four designs. The buckets have Monster, Skeleton, Mummy, and Vampire options.
The Boo Bucket Halloween Happy Meals will be available starting on Oct. 17 at participating restaurants across the U.S. The buckets will be available through Oct. 31, or while supplies last, the restaurant chain shared.
The buckets can be ordered by buying a Happy Meal in the restaurant or through the app. Prices are determined by each restaurant and may vary based on location. Happy Meals typically range from $4 to $7, so the Boo Bucket is expected to be around the same price.
There is no additional cost for the buckets, as they serve as the toy that usually comes with the Happy Meals.
“They’ll be gone faster than you can say ‘boo,’ so head to your local McDonald’s to get a festive pail while supplies last,” the company said in a release.
