An angry mom brought an awards ceremony at an Atlanta school to grinding halt upon realizing her son was not an award recipient.
Video of the incident, which has gone viral after being posted on X, shows the mother walking up to the front of the stage and angrily lamenting her son’s lack of victories.
The woman’s comments cannot be made out in the video, but the person at the podium does make an announcement, saying, “Laides and gentlemen, I apologize for what we’re seeing right now.”
He then addresses the woman, saying, “I’ll talk to you. Momma, we can look at it again.”
At that point, the woman shouts “Let’s go” at her child, who then follows her out.
The school whose awards banquet was interrupted is not made clear on the video, but it has been viewed over 500,000 times since being posted.
