Around 7:40 a.m. Sunday, L.A. police responded to the residence on the 22500 block of Victory Boulevard where they found three unresponsive children. The kids, who officials described as a 12-year-old girl and two 8-year-old boys, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to multiple reports.

Los Angeles Police said Flores admitted to killing the children with the help of her teen son.

Los Angeles County deputies said 38-year-old Angela Dawn Flores was arrested late Sunday evening. While police said a juvenile was also arrested, Fox 11 identified the juvenile as Flores’ 16-year-old son.

The older child allegedly found his siblings dead Sunday morning and ran to a neighbor’s house for help, according to CBS L.A.

Prisila Canales, a neighbor, told the outlet she heard the mother yelling the night before.

“I heard someone screaming, 'My family is abusing me,' and all kinds of nonsense. I couldn't make out what it was,” she recalled. "I guess at that time she was in our neighbor's yard ... burning a candle and she had the Bible out."

The children’s cause of the death has not been revealed.

Flores is being held on $6 million bail, KTLA reported.
