After years of anonymity following his arrest and subsequent death while imprisoned, several hundred people tied to alleged sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein had their identities made public.

Some were waiting with baited breath to see the list, as the person who brought the lawsuit that spurred the unsealing told CBS News in July 2020 that Maxwell had access to very well-known people, including "government officials, politicians and royalty."

Prince Andrew of Great Britain, magician David Copperfield, former presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump were on Epstein's list -- although that doesn't necessarily mean the participated in any wrongdoing, experts are quick to say because Epstein was known to move in circles with celebrities and powerful politicians.

A U.S. federal judge ruled on Monday that the list of Jeffrey Epstein's alleged victims and associates must be unsealed and made public.

More than 150 names may be made public as part of a scivil lawsuit that was settled against British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell.

Maxwell, you may recall, was found guilty of conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse underage girls for at least a decade.

The case against her was brought by Virginia Giuffre, who accused Maxwell of recruiting her for abuse.

Some records will remain confidential after the unsealing, the AP reported, 'including those who were children when they were subject to the abuse and want to maintain privacy.'
