As his nation's war with Russia stretched into a 37th day Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced he had fired two of his top generals.
In his latest national address, Zelensky said the two officials were "traitors" who failed to do their duty and protect the people of Ukraine. The president added, "they will all be punished," but said he does not currently have time to deal with them.
In Friday's speech, Zelensky again saluted Ukraine's military for its courage and tenacity in battling Russian forces, some of whom reportedly are now refusing to follow orders from their commanders..
On Sunday, Zelensky is scheduled to join Margaret Brennan live on "Face the Nation." The program's moderator gave an in-depth preview of the expected conversation as she spoke with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
