
ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Video of a man in St. Louis County being bitten by a police K-9 during an arrest has gone viral. Police say the man was suspected of trespassing, threatening to kill police, refusing to comply and suspected to be under the influence of methamphetamine.

Woodson Terrace Police in north St. Louis County say the incident happened Monday around 7:18 a.m. after they were called to the scene of a local businesses about a person who was trespassing and refusing to leave.
Video captured by a citizen in the area shows three police officers using a K-9 to get the suspect on to the ground and handcuffed.

Police say the man "immediately started threatening to kill the officers and identified as a sovereign citizen. The subject continued yelling obscenities and telling the officers he would not comply and he 'will not obey your contract.'"
A "Sovereign Citizens" is someone who doesn't believe in judges, juries, law enforcement or elected officials, and thinks they should be able to decide which laws to obey and which to ignore, according to Southern Poverty Law Center.
