In footage released by police in Easton, Mass., a man can be seen looking over wares in the New England for Trump store just before a car crashed through the building, leaving topped displays and clothing racks in its wake.
He jumped back as the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta sped by him, and can be seen headed for the door.
According to authorities, Easton Police Department officers were dispatched to the store, located at 620 Washington St., at around 5:10 p.m. Thursday. They said one employee who was in the store at the time of the incident was not injured.
Sean Flaherty, a 46-year-old resident of Raynham, Mass., was driving the vehicle. Police said he was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Flaherty was charged reckless operation of a motor vehicle and malicious destruction of property as of Thursday. Authorities said he may face more charges and a request was made to the Registry of Motor Vehicles to revoke Flaherty’s license.
