After you’ve eaten enough calories for three months, here are the best places to plan your Black Friday shopping and the best deals on streaming services for when you want to binge a series after.
With inflation remaining near four-decade highs, sitting at 7.7% last month, shoppers will be looking for the best deals this Black Friday weekend. Among the best items to find deals on this year is clothes, shoes, toys and electronics.
Clothing stores are offering early deals, including J. Crew, which is offering 50% off and Levi’s, which is offering 40%.
At Target, several 50% discounts are being offered on toys, games, and some TVs. Meanwhile Best Buy is seeing sales as high as 60%.
According to Trae Bodge, a shopping expert who runs the site TrueTrae.com, shared with NBC News that 20% to 25% sales are typical on Black Friday weekend. However, this year, prices are expected to have steeper deals.
“I am seeing so much activity right now that I think it’s a really exciting time for shoppers to get out there and get their shopping done — and even do some stocking up for themselves as well,” Bodge said.
This year’s shopping season will be much more different than last, which was plagued by supply shortages due to the blockage in the supply chain.
But deals go beyond stores this year, as there are also several deals on streaming services.
Hulu is offering its ad-supported plan for $1.99 per month for the first year, HBO Max is offering its plan “with-ads” for $1.99 per month for the first three months, Paramount+ is offering a year subscription for 50%, and Peacock TV is offering a service for $0.99 a month for year with the code "SAVEBIG" applied at checkout.
