An Ohio woman claims that a Stanley cup saved her life during a shootout in front of her home.
The woman posted a video on TikTok showing a sizable dent in her Stanley tumbler that she says was caused by a bullet. The clip has been viewed more than 3 million times.
She said two people were shooting at each other outside of her home when at least one bullet came through the wall.
"All of a sudden we heard about 7 or 8 gunshots and then one really loud bang," the woman, who goes by xo._ray on TikTok, told WFLA. "It entered my house then ricocheted off the Stanley, which was right in front of me, and sent it flying into my kitchen."
The woman's claim has since gone viral on social media, with many people expressing amazement in the comment section:
"It BOUNCED OFF THE CUP"
"I have officially been influenced"
"Stanley really out here saving lives"
When one person replied to the video questioning the whole situation -- saying "I'm sorry but at least make it believable," -- the woman came back with receipts. A follow-up video showed law enforcement inside her home documenting the evidence, along with several other bullet holes in her home.
"It very much did [happen]," the woman replied to a skeptical comment. "It came through the wall, hit the perfume and that sent it and an angle which ricocheted off my cup instead of hitting me."
