The 2020 Major League Soccer Super Draft took place on Thursday afternoon. Both New York City FC and New York Red Bulls fans have plenty to be excited about going into next season.
With the fifteenth overall pick, the Red Bulls selected midfielder Cherif Dieye. This past season, he was All-ACC second team. Dieye was born in Dakar, Senegal.

January 9, 2020 He led Louisville in every offensive statistical category this season. In 2019, Dieye had seven goals and six assists in 19 appearances.
The Red Bulls were the sixth seed in the 2019 MLS playoffs, falling to the Philadelphia Union 4-3 in the first round.
Seven picks later, NYCFC picked Jesus Perez 22nd overall. The 24 year-old was born in Trinidad and Tobago and spent the 2017 season with the San Juan Jabloteh.

January 9, 2020 Earlier this week, Perez leaked that he had signed with Dundalk FC, the League of Ireland Premier Division champions, through an unlikely source: his Tinder profile.
Perez joins a NYCFC team that was the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. After receiving a first-round bye, NYCFC fell 2-1 to Toronto FC in the conference semifinals.
