Former Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and George Bush on Thursday released a public service announcement encouraging Americans to get their COVID-19 vaccines.
“This vaccine means hope,” Obama says in the “It’s Up To You” campaign video. “It will protect you and those you love from this dangerous and deadly disease.”
“In order to get rid of this pandemic, it’s important for our fellow citizens to get vaccinated,” Bush adds.
Carter explains that he is “getting vaccinated because we want this pandemic to end as soon as possible.”
“We’ve lost enough people, and we’ve suffered enough damage,” Clinton adds.
Former first ladies Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, and Rosalynn Carter also appear in the clip.
