First Family-elect to make history bringing 1st rescue dog to the White House

Not only will President-elect Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden usher in a new era in politics, they’ll arrive at the White House with a=a couple of four-legged friend – and one of the pups will make history.

The Biden’s German Shepherd, Major, will be the first rescue dog to live in the White House. Major joined the family in 2018. Their dog Champ has been with the Bidents since 2008/

As President Trump did not have any dogs, breaking with a long tradition, it’s been four years since any of man’s best friends have walked the halls of 1600 Pennsylvania.
