Luxury buildings in Manhattan are ramping up security amid concerns that the results of the presidential election will spark protests, according to a report.

Sources told the New York Post that buildings including the Time Warner Center are hiring off-duty NYPD officers to protect their facades and residents.

“Everybody is worried about security,” one source told the outlet. “Every top building is adding security. It’s out of control. We hope it won’t be needed, but we will be ready.”

The NYPD is “advising buildings to get the extra security,” a source said, adding that the department has “never done this before.”

Managers at a building on the Upper East Side sent a letter to residents saying they were hiring off-duty police officers due to concerns about “violence” and “property damage.”

“We hope the precautions won’t be needed but we will be ready,” the letter said, according to the outlet.
