Louisiana Representative and House Republican Whip Steve Scalise fired off a very frustrated tweet Wednesday regarding the ever-changing guidance on masking.
The tweet came after a new advisory from the CDC that recommended 2/3 of counties in the nation wear masks while indoors.
The CDC had eased masking guidelines back in May but has changed its position in light of the latest COVID surge fueled by the Delta variant and the lagging vaccination rates in some areas of the country.
Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards issued his own recommendation last week that residents of the state wear masks indoors if six feet of social distancing is unavailable, regardless of vaccination status.
