Trump in fundraising email: Cuomo is 'total loser,' 'liberal wokester'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Donald Trump, no stranger to name-calling, took aim at outgoing Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a fundraising email to supporters Friday.

"Andrew Cuomo is a loser," was the email's subject line.

"Andrew Cuomo has got real problems - he handled COVID horribly and he’s DESTROYED New York - and it’s about time he resigned," reads the email, signed by the former president.

Trump digs in, writing, "To tell you the truth, this guy is a TOTAL LOSER, and New York, as well as the entire Country, is better off without him."

"America is actually better off without a lot of Liberal Wokesters like Cuomo," the attack continues.

But then comes the pitch: "Please make a contribution of ANY AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY."

For his part, Cuomo hasn't had kind words for Trump either in recent years.

"If I wasn’t governor of New York, I would have decked him. Period," Cuomo told Howard Stern of his reaction to Trump calling brother Chris Cuomo "Fredo."

Cuomo added, "I mean he was attacking me, he was attacking my family, he was anti-Italian. Every nasty thing."
