Donald Trump is projected to win the state of Louisiana's eight electoral votes.
The Associated Press has called the race for the Republican nominee for president. According to the earliest of early vote totals reported to the Secretary of State, Trump leads Democratic nominee Kamala Harris 71 percent to 28 percent.
This marks the third consecutive election in which Trump has won Louisiana's electoral votes. It's the sixth straight presidential election in which a majority of Louisiana's voters selected the Republican candidate.
