It’s been over a month since Fox News announced it was moving on from its number one host Tucker Carlson. However, many are still questioning why he was fired in the first place.
Chadwick Moore, a journalist and contributing editor at The Spectator, joined The Rich Zeoli Show on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT to discuss Carlson’s departure.
Moore, a frequent guest on Carlson’s show, claims that the hosts firing was a result of the fallout from Fox News’ lawsuit from Dominion.
“There was an agreement between Fox News and Dominion that they would pull [Carlson] off the air as a condition of the settlement,” Moore said. “That news was reported. I had heard that from my sources before it was reported.”
Moore shared that his “sources were very reliable” and that they assured him the settlement included a condition that Carlson would get the boot after they reached the settlement.
“Fox News and Dominion have both denied this, but it does seem clear that his being pulled off the air was a result of this,” Moore said. “Whether it was a part of the agreement or whether it was Fox News basically trying to put down the hammer and say who’s boss and trying to teach everyone a lesson and letting them know who’s in charge.”
Moore shared his thoughts on Carlson as a host and political voice, all of which, and more, he discusses in his new book “Tucker” set to release on July 18.
