New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell today said "we're not there yet" when it comes to the Superdome hosting large numbers of fans at games, and the discussion about playing in Tiger Stadium at LSU might be the best option.
"I think that that could be a great place, temporarily," she said. "It is an outdoor stadium."
The mayor said having a roof over the stadium makes all the difference.
"Right now, there is now way, given the current conditions, to allow 20,000 fans, in the SUperdome, and indoor stadium, when no one else is doing it in the United States of America."
