Newly signed Saints quarterback Derek Carr appears to have had his welcome to New Orleans moment, as he took to Twitter on Saturday, sharing he is experiencing a power outage, which has become all too common in the area.
“So... first power outage before I could get our generator hooked up in New Orleans lol anybody want to help?” Carr asked his Twitter following on Saturday afternoon.
One fan responded to the tweet, saying that Carr would be surprised when he gets his first “water boil advisory,” to which Carr responded, “Please explain.”
Another fan asked Carr how much he was paying for help getting his power back on, to which the quarterback responded in good jest.
Carr is getting ready for his first offseason with his new team, as the first day of the NFL offseason is April 24.
The quarterback is entering his 10th season in the NFL and the first away from the Las Vegas Raiders. In his nine seasons with the Raiders, Carr amassed more than 35,000 passing yards and 217 touchdowns.
The Saints are coming off a third-place finish in the NFC South after posting a 7-10 record and missing the postseason for the second year in a row.
Carr has not shared whether or not he was able to get his power back on.
