Watch: Drew Brees crashes 'Today' show in New Orleans, says he finds Saints fans everywhere

The 'Today' show was back in New Orleans this week, and so was Saints legend Drew Brees.

The retired QB was a surprise guest on the show, in town for a celebration of Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager's 5th-year anniversary as hosts of the program.

"It feels great [to be back]," Brees said, explaining his ongoing connection with the city even in retirement. "New Orleans feels like home."

But Brees was also quick to point out that he can find Saints fans anywhere, even the furthest reaches from home. But just how far?

“literally I remember I’m walking through the tulip fields in the Netherlands, and I hear a ‘Who Dat’ from across the fields. It’s an immediate kinship," Brees said, before joining in with a Who Dat chant from the crowd.

Kotb herself has a strong connection to the city, spending more than six years as a anchor and reporter for WWL-TV.

Brees also joined the 'Today' crew in surprising a Saints fan in the crowd with tickets and field passes to a game in the 2024 season, along with signed memorabilia, then played a trivia game with two other fans, Bush-Hager and Kotb.
