Yes, the caller disagreed with me, but this was a call that stood out to me because it was two Americans who disagreed but there was no hate or name-calling. During the call, I realized how unique it was to have a caller disagree with me on something I said about President Trump, but it was a civil conversation.
I would never want to live in a country where passionate political debate was not allowed and I love that about America, but I have grown disgusted with the hate and name-calling that comes almost entirely from the extreme right. I’m talking about the extreme right and not all conservatives or Republicans.
The extreme right is waiting at their keyboards, which they consider weapons to use against anyone that has anything to say about Trump that they consider negative - even if it is based on the truth and facts. The personal name-calling and the pure hate that is embedded in comments on the Scoot On The Air Facebook page and Instagram account is a stark reminder that many Americans have been brainwashed by the conservative media echo chamber.
