Even in the wake of federal indictments, which one would think might encourage Mayor Cantrell to reform her arrogant approach to politics, the mayor is pushing hard to change the trash contract from Sidney Torres and IV Waste to Troy Henry. Why? Why is Mayor Cantrell seemingly working so diligently to get the trash contract to Troy Henry? Why is Mayor-Elect Moreno saying that the council can’t get an answer to just one question from Cantrell?
We don’t know the answers to those questions, but we know there are answers to those questions. It would seem that life would be much easier for Cantrell during her final days as mayor of New Orleans to be honest and forthcoming with information. But for some reason Cantrell is playing with the same playbook even though her playbook has led to a list of federal indictments.
