As more people get fully vaccinated for the coronavirus, new opportunities to return to a more normal life are within sight. This week the CDC issued new guidelines for everyone who has been fully vaccinated.

The guidelines say fully vaccinated people can now get together in small groups without wearing masks. It seems that, theoretically, fully vaccinated people should be allowed to gather in large groups, and that would open the door for night-club-type activities. That reality is coming soon!

It was exactly one year ago today that the World Health Organization declared the spread of the coronavirus a global pandemic, and our lives would forever be changed. While it has been a long, grueling journey, we have made great progress and the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.

Appearing on the “Divorced Not Dead” podcast, which deals with love and relationships, actress Susan Sarandon says she is ready to find a partner. Sarandon says she is happy being single and alone; but, at 74, she is open to meeting someone and entering into a relationship. But there’s one strong caveat: that person must be fully vaccinated, and she doesn’t care if it’s a man or a woman or what color they are as long as they are fully vaccinated.

The star of “Thelma and Louise” says she’s looking for someone who she can be passionate about and someone who is adventurous. The person doesn’t have to be successful, but must be about to deal with her celebrity status. BUT - they must be fully vaccinated.

Could you be in a relationship with someone who had a completely different opinion from you when it comes to the coronavirus and getting vaccinated? I am always curious when I see couples and only one of the two people is wearing a mask.

If I’m dedicated to wearing a mask - I would want the person I’m with to feel the same way. If I am fully vaccinated, I think it would be strange being with someone who didn’t share that view. I guess the only exception would be someone whose age and health made them almost immune from getting the virus, but with all we have seen over the past year I’m not sure how many people that would be.

The other interesting thing about Susan Sarandon’s new-found interest in dating and starting a relationship is that she is 74! I don’t know what it was like when previous generations reached this point in their lives, but the Boomer generation has continued to refuse to act their age. When it comes to dating, relationships and sex, we have remained active and passionate. And the meds available to assist in keeping the passion alive certainly help!

Oh, there’s one stipulation anyone who have when it comes to dating Susan Sarandon - you would have to be very tolerant of being with an avid activist and devout liberal!
