Have you been made to feel disenfranchised? Do you feel like you are rejected by society? Do you feel like people judge you and that you are not welcomed everywhere? Have you felt discriminated against at work or in public settings?
If you answered “YES” to any of the aforementioned questions - then you are not alone.
Many Americans have been made to feel as if they are not equal; and, as a result, they are being ostracized by others. If this describes you - THEN GET THE DAMN SHOT!
Once you are vaccinated for COVID-19, you will no longer feel the discrimination that has been part of living in America. Once you are vaccinated, you will be able to sit with others at lunch counters and other public places. Once you are vaccinated, you will be able to go to Saints games and concerts and enjoy eating at restaurants.
Once you are vaccinated you will be able to sit next to people who are Black, White, Hispanic, or Asian. You will be allowed to casually mingle in public places with Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and atheists. Once vaccinated you will be accepted by the LGBTQ community.
We should all strive for a day when we can come together as one in America - where rich and poor, young and old, attractive and ugly unite under one common cause - beating the 4th surge of the coronavirus.
We can imagine a nation where everyone is treated equally and we can experience the common bond of cheering for the Saints. We will be able to bond over the music we love.
We cannot be free until we are all free. But we need to work together to achieve the equality that will usher in a new era of unity in America.
Irreverence aside - past and present battles for equality in America could not be so easily solved as getting a vaccination. But the feelings of discrimination and rejection from everything from Saints games to concerts to restaurants that many Americans are now experiencing can be erased in our lifetime.
Do your part to end the discrimniation you may be feeling - GET THE DAMN SHOT!
