As 20,000 pages of files from sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein have been released by the House Oversight Committee, the initial reaction defines the new era in which America lives. It’s a new era where the “truth” is not as important as protecting the political leader you love and respect.
As I talked about the release of emails from Jeffrey Epstein in which he talks about Donald Trump, I began receiving calls and text messages from MAGA supporters who instinctively dismissed the information as false. These are actual emails from Epstein that talk about Trump spending hours in Epstein’s home with one of the underage girls Epstein used in his sex trafficking ring. What might Trump have been doing with the underage girl for hours? That - we don’t yet know, but there should be emails that shed light on what might have happened.
In one email, Epstein talked about how Trump was the “dog that hasn’t barked” and he said, “I know who dirty Donald is.” When injected into the activity that Epstein was involved in we can all imagine what those comments mean, but we don’t know for sure.
There is another email about Jeffrey Epstein being told that he had information about Donald and the practice of providing underage girls for the sexual pleasure of older men that could “finish” off Trump on the eve of the 2016 presidential election.
It was reported that the president and White House officials were meeting to figure out how to handle the expected release of the Epstein files. The deciding vote - Arizona representative-elect Adelita Grijalva was finally sworn in today after House Speaker Mike Johnson delayed the swearing-in knowing that it would lead to the release of the Epstein files.
More Republicans are joining in on the goal of delivering the truth to the American people. It seems that the Republicans are realizing that uncovering the truth about protecting older men having sex with underage girls supersedes protecting the president - or anyone - from their party.
The president and those who have tried to stop the release of the Epstein files have consciously participated in covering up the practice of older men having sex with underage girls. In no world is this acceptable. This is a moment of reckoning for America. If hiding the truth to protect a political leader who is passionately supported by many Americans is more important than the truth, then we have totally lost our moral compass. The truth is more important than protecting a leader no matter how you might feel about that leader.
Politicians get away with a lot of wrongdoing, but there are still a few things that will bring down even the most popular leader and one of those things is having sex with underage girls - even if it was before they became president.
The release of the Epstein files is not about politics. It is about morality. It is about decency. No America - no president is above the law and the judgment of America when it comes to having sex with underage girls. One has to wonder why the president has been working so hard to stop the Epstein files from being released. Let the files be released because America deserves the truth.
