For the first time in six months, COVID-19 hospitalizations in Louisiana have topped 1,500. Another 134 in today's report from the Louisiana Department of Health brings the total to 1,524, the most since January 29.
The state reports 4,699 new cases on the 30,298 tests collected. That's more than 15 percent positive.
Another 14 COVID-19 patients have died.
