Gunfire at the Sleep Inn in Pineville Tuesday night.
It happened as FBI agents from New Orleans tried to capture a fugitive wanted in in the murder of a 69-year-old Ohio woman and the kidnapping of her daughter.
Agents cornered 49-year-old James David Hawley at motel and an hours long standoff began.
It all came to head when Holley opened fire FBI agents and law enforcement surrounding the scene.
In the shootout with the suspect an FBI agent was wounded.
The suspect was killed.
The agent was taken to a Hospital in Alexandria, just across the Red River from Pineville.
No other information is available.
The kidnapping victim was unharmed.
