Former Governor John Bel Edwards among 7 to be inducted into Louisiana Political Hall of Fame

The Louisiana Political Hall of Fame will induct its 2024 class tomorrow highlighted by two term Governor John Bel Edwards.

Director of Louisiana Political Museum Shonna Moss says Edwards is being honored for his dedication of political service.

“His tenure of is a significant milestone in expanding Medicaid coverage he lowered the state uninsured rate, navigated fiscal changes. He championed comprehensive criminal justice reform,” Moss said.

This year’s Hall of Fame includes seven new members. The 2024 class also consists of talk radio host Jim Engster, host of Louisiana Live, former state representative Joe Delpit, former state senator Louis Lambert,  former newspaper reporter Ed Anderson who passed away in 2015, former Board of Regents chair Richard Lipsey, and former Louisiana Chemical Association president Dan Borne’.

The Louisiana Political Hall of Fame is located in Winnfield and has 243 members, including the latest inductees.
