With insurance costs in Louisiana rising, the incoming insurance commissioner says the sooner he can act on possible solutions, the better. Tim Temple told WWL's Newell Normand he wants lawmakers' attention on this, with a special session not long after he takes office.
"I have been very active in suggesting that we need to have one," said Temple. "We certainly need to do it sooner, rather than later, which is why I am pushing for a special session early in January.
Temple said he has been scheduling meetings with stakeholders as he prepares to take office early next year.
"Whether it impacts your pocketbook as an individual, or a family, or your business, this is one that we literally need all hands on deck."
