Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards today announced a grand prize of $1 million for a lucky Louisiana COVID vaccine recipient. And even if you got your shot back in December , you can enter to win.
"Vaccinated Louisianans can register online at shotatamillion.com," Governor Edwards announced.
There will also be a handful of $100,000 runner-up prizes. The state will also be giving away college scholarships to vaccinated Louisianans ages 12-17.
You need at least one shot to enter. The $100,000 drawings will start July 9, and the million-dollar grand prize will be drawn on August 4.
In total, $2.3 million in cash and scholarships will be given away.
Barely more than a third of Louisianans have received all of their coronavirus shots in today's update from the Louisiana Department of Health.
