With 342 people hospitalized for COVID-19 in Louisiana, the stress on the state's hospitals has fallen to levels not seen since the 4th of July weekend. July 4 was the last time hospitalizations were below 350.
The Louisiana Department of Health reports 681 new cases today. That's about two percent of the 33,301 new tests collected.
Another 16 COVID-19 patients have died.
