Getting out of the pandemic means doing two things, says Louisiana governor John bel Edwards:
"Mask and vaccinate," said Edwards. "That should be our collective effort now and going forward."
With all residents 16 and older now eligible to get the vaccine, Edwards says they're going to do whatever it takes to make the process easier. He announced a vaccine hotline that can be sued for scheduling, or answering questions about the vaccines.
"It can be used to schedule a vaccine appointment, to find vaccine providers, to connect to medical professionals who can answer any questions that you might have about vaccines."
The hotline can be reached at (855) 453-0774. It is staffed from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and Noon through 8 p.m. on Sundays.
