Louisiana has surpassed 200,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus. The state reports 2,239 new cases today. Confirmed cases are at 200,982. With another 8,932 probable cases, the Louisiana Department of Health reports total cases of 209,914.
Confirmed COVID-19 deaths are up 23, and hospitalizations are up a fifth straight day, by 12, at 886. That's the most COVID-19 patients hospitalized since August.
Presumed recoveries increased more than 9,800 since last week, to 185,960.
