The U.S. Department of Education is investigating LSU after students claimed the university mishandled allegations of sexual assault, The Advocate reports.
The investigation includes possible violation of The Clery Act, which dictates measures a university that accepts federal funding must take regarding transparency about crimes on campus.
A university official says they are looking into their safety practices, according to the report.
