With Christmas a day off for COVID-19 report, today’s three-day count of numbers comes close to an average of more thousand a day.
The official numbers are 3,227—or an average of 1075—new cases of COVID-19 over the three day counting period.
The new numbers are on 29,184 new tests—which means more than 10% are coming back positive.
Over the past three days 19 people have died from the infection, bringing the death toll to 7,291.
Overall there are 299,722 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed with 274,048 of those cases confirmed.
Currently there are 1,530 patients hospitalized with 191 on ventilators.
As of December 21st, 247,501 have recovered.
