A Louisiana State Police lieutenant is on leave following his arrest in South Dakota, the agency announced today.
"44-year-old Kirk Thibodeaux has been charged with Hiring for Sexual Activity," while at a work-related conference in Rapid City, South Dakota, LSP announced Wednesday afternoon.
Thibodeaux is assigned to the Transportation Safety Services/Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section, and has been placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the criminal and administrative investigation.
According to the Pennington County, South Dakota sheriff's office, the incident happened around 3 a.m. in a local hotel. The crime of Hiring for Sexual Activity is a misdemeanor in South Dakota.
