Get ready for some big changes to the weather.
"We're in the final hours of warm weather before a strong cold front arrives," WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone said this morning. "We stay warm through lunchtime with temperatures nearing 80 degrees."
He says the front brings that to an end this afternoon with a strong cold front moving through the area.
"This evening will be chilly and breezy in the 50s. There will likely be a few light showers this afternoon as the cold front arrives, but no storms are expected."
He says Thursday starts in the 40s.
"It'll be a short-lived cool down and no freezing temperatures are expected. Thursday stays in the 50s, but we return to the 60s Friday and 70s this weekend."
