A cold front headed for Southeast Louisiana will bring big changes to the weather.
"Shower and storm timing should be late morning and ending just after the noon hour," WWL TV Meteorologist Chris Franklin said.
We had been seeing warmer than normal temperatures this week, with highs near 80 degrees.
"Temps will begin falling by the late afternoon and evening into the low 60s to 50s," Franklin forecasts. "Expect 30s and 40s to begin the morning Friday with highs in the mid 50s and breezy."
Away from the city, we could see some frost this weekend.
"A colder morning Saturday with near freezing temps North and upper 30s South. Highs only in the low 50s. But the chilly weather won't last long."
Sunday's highs will be back into the 60s, with 70s early next week.
