The chance of a pop-up shower or storm remains in the forecast for the next week, but those rain chances are lower than what we saw earlier this week. Rain chances on Thursday are pegged at 50 percent. Friday's rain chance stands at 40 percent. For Saturday and beyond, we have a 30-percent chance of precipitation. Despite the lower probabilities, some parts of Southeast Louisiana could see downpours from those storms. As always, keep an umbrella or poncho handy.
As we dry out over the weekend, temperatures will rise into the mid-90s with heat indices getting into the triple digits. Make sure you hydrate and stay in the shade if you plan on being outside.
