After months of brutal heat this summer, New Orleanians can finally welcome in temperatures that feel like honest-to-goodness autumn.
"Cool weather and a breeze out of the north, finally feeling like fall!" said WWL-TV meteorologist Payton Malone. "High of about 79 to 80 degrees today with a north breeze."
Tonight, temperatures will fall into the 50s in areas away from the lake. In the city, it will be about 60 degrees.
